But no pictures, because I forgot the camera both days.
On Saturday D and I drove up into Montgomery County, MD, and visited a few stops on the Countryside Artisans fall studio tour. To keep D happy, we started at the art glass studio and furniture maker. Art of Fire had two friendly studio cats and a dog greeting visitors. I may visit again closer to the holidays to buy gifts for a few people. 2 Griffins may see a hall table commission from us later this year. I was tempted to purchase the lovely cherry coffee table he had available on Saturday, but we need a hall table first. We ended our tour at Kiparoo Farm. We were greet by a field full of sheep after driving up the 1 mile dirt driveway. The yarns are stunning. I was tempted by several yarns, but only purchased a shrug pattern. If I visit again without D, I'm sure that I will show much less restraint.
Sunday, I finally got a ride in the plane. We flew to Cumberland, MD, for lunch at the Runway Café. I had a tasty veggie omlet with amazing home fries and D had a grilled cheese sandwich with French fries. The total tab for lunch with $16 with a generous tip. The gas bill for the adventure was $125 and the engine overhaul account earned $45. The scenery over the mountains as the leaves start to turn was beautiful. If we go for another ride next weekend, I'll be sure to remember the camera.
That is kind of an enormous gas bill. Wow!

Yowza! C always called it the $100 hamburger ride, I guess it's a little more expensive now :)
