Or something like that. The blog theme of too much travel—so much that I don't remember what D looks like, recall my kitties' names, or even know if I'm coming or going—looks like it will continue through Thanksgiving or so. Maybe I will get a chance to stay in one place, do some serious big-project knitting, and focus on something besides booking travel and completing expense reports in December.
We flew home from Hawaii last Monday, arriving home early Tuesday morning. I worked last week—think customer visits in suburban DC rather than time in the office to catch up on the post-vacation email and voicemail messages. Then I flew to San Francisco on Saturday. Sunday I played in San Francisco. My friend Wes introduced me to Guitar Hero. I sense a video game shopping excursion this weekend. We need a new DVD player, and a Play Station 3 is a perfectly good DVD player. Yeah, that's why I need one. It has nothing to do with playing a cheesy plastic guitar shaped game controller while rockin to 80's hits.
Monday, I came down with this month's fall travel cold. And spent all day in technical training—by the end of the day all I really knew about php is how little I actually know about php. I worked on the current second sock (Hedgerow) between sneezes.
To wrap up the Hawaiian vacation
I still haven't looked at the surfing photos. Once I do, I'm not sure if they will see the light of day on the blog. There is something about seeing a photo of my out of shape 37 year old self in a bathing suit that makes me not want to share that image with blogland. Even though it is totally cool photographic evidence of me surfing. I also have to catalog and post the photos of our Napali Coast cruise. Those will appear over on Flickr sometime this weekend.
Tomorrow, I have a full day of office time to catch up, Get Things Done, and start studying up on php. I will have at least one swap package waiting for me when I get home, and there are two to mail. And, I'll probably wander up to Stitches East in Baltimore on Saturday or Sunday. Translation, I will have some easy blog fodder to entertain you next week before I jet off (well drive off) to my next destination—Charlottesville, VA, on the 25th. I will not be following that trip up with a visit to Rhinebeck with the rest of Knitblogland unless D perfects his teleportation device or buys an airplane in the next week or so.
